The Birth Control Pill Strikes Back: Hormones in your Water

This is actually a fascinating new turn in the debate over birth control. Basically the short version is this: birth control pills work by putting hormones into your body. These hormones are then excreted from the body and end up in our water supply. However, there is no currently used way to remove them from the water supply, so tap water now contains some of these potent hormones, which are affecting men, women, and children who drink water.

I was actually told this by a friend and started doing some research. Here are a few of the articles I uncovered:

Remember, contraception was condemned by every Christian church until the 1920's, when the Church of England first allowed it in "extreme" situations. Now only the Catholic Church stands by the 2000 year tradition of condemning birth control just as the Bible does. This acts as just another reason to follow the law of God rather than the desires of man in terms of birth control.

The consequences seem serious: breast cancer, early onset of puberty, testicular cancer, and more. Time to throw away those pills and come back to God!

God bless,
Jay

The problem with the "debate" is that people are so addicted to sin that it requires a miracle for them to even admit there is a debate. I know when I got married (I was Protestant at the time), I was considered somewhat of strange for even considering the question. I figured everyone considered that question, after all, its kind of a big deal AND we had found out some of the disturbing information about it. Most Christians boil the debate in their minds down to

"My parents did it and I came out OK" and
"If God wants me to have children HE will ensure that it happens"

At least those were the common retorts we got .... nobody was interested in the facts.

The lengths to which our society will go to protect "free sex" is mind boggling. They will saddle the masses with irritating task after irritating task to save the environment but when it comes time to exercise a little self control out come the little brushes. Lift the rug up folks ... we can't have people knowing about that.

Then again, I have seen that a womans freedom is and holding back the population bomb are more important than what is happening to a few fish.
