Roman Catholic Search Engine
Google now allows you to create very targeted search engines on specific topics. So I've created a Catholic Search engine that focuses on quality (read: theologically-correct) Catholic websites. It's still a Google search, but the list of sites i added come up significantly higher in the search results. So it is an excellent way to understand the Catholic position on most topics. You can test it out here.
It's really revealing when you hit a topic like "abortion" or "da vinci code" - the results are excellent and focus on the Catholic position. So if you have a question about Catholicism, Mary, or any specific Catholic topic, it's a great way to quickly get a quality answer on what Catholiics believe. Hope you enjoy!
So go test out the Catholic search engine - and let me know how the results look.
God bless,
Jay

Great work, Jay! This has helped me already.
I told my son how a girl dressed up as a martyr for halloween (thus bringing some holiness to the event yet still providing an outlet for the gore-factor). I told him how she went as Saint Lucy (who had her eyes poked out) and how the costume included carrying a pair of olives in a bowl to look like her eyeballs.
Now he no longer wants to go as Boba Fett because that's "not scary enough" and wants to carry his eyeballs around in a bowl like the girl who went as Saint Lucy. Wanting to find a male martyr who had his eyes gouged out, I went to google but found only Saint Lucy. But with your customized search, it also turned up the Papal encyclical Invicti Athletae on Saint Andrew Bobola.
Now he is asking dozens of questions about martyrs and I get to explain that the martyrs loved Jesus so much they continued to live and speak his message of love even when threatened with death.

Jay, please add a link to this fantastic custom search somewhere at the top of your page. I've also created a tinyurl for it:

Nice work. Coincidentally, we did this too. Ours is different, though, in that it only searches Catholic websites (nearly 1000 of them), rather than simply giving weight to the Catholic ones but including the secular ones.
You can read about it here:

I can definitely see how both yours and ours would be very useful in different circumstances.
God bless!
