World Summit of Religious Leaders ends
You may or may not have realized that religious leaders from a wide variety of religions came together in Moscow at the World Summit of Religious Leaders, which ended today. It's extremely difficult to get consensus in this type of forum, especially since non-Christian religions were included which don't necessarily uphold Christian values. But they did issue a final statement, which had some remarkable consensus.
The biggest surprise for me was the condemnation of abortion in an indirect way:
It is, therefore, necessary to assert constantly the highest value of human life from conception to the final breath and natural death. Thus the family needs support today, for it is the privileged context for cultivating the free, intelligent and moral personality. We call for more assistance to the family, particularly in its formative mission by national and international law and the practice of states, various public institutions, religious communities and the mass media. Linked to this is our concern for the status of women and children in many societies. Promoting the unique character of every person, women and men, children and the elderly, as well as people with disabilities, we see that they all have their special gifts. Protecting them from violence and exploitation is a common task for the authorities, the society, and religious communities.
That's a pretty powerful statement coming from this body of religious leaders (let's hope it has an impact that United Nations and Amnesty International, in particular.
They also focused on religious freedom in the world and our individual rights to that freedom. It's worth taking a few moments and reading the full text of the final declaration keeping in mind that it's not a perfect document from a strictly Christian point of view, but it is a very helpful one if organizations like the United Nations take it seriously.
God bless,
Jay

"to assert constantly the highest value of human life from conception to the final breath and natural death" would also condemn capital punishment as practiced in the United States (as incarceration is a viable alternative to maintaining public safety).

Jehovah Witnesses do not understand that Jesus Christ is the Great Jehovah.
This is explained by an excerpt from my book “Jesus The Lord of Glory” ( the ultimate Christology ) which reads: “The name Jehovah or Yahweh is a Hebrew word meaning “I am the Lord”. The modern English version translation of the name Jehovah should be: “I AM THE LORD or THE LORD I AM”. The abbreviated term is “I AM”. For Jesus called himself the Great “I AM”. Jehovah is the name for the Godhead or Holy Trinity in which Jesus Christ was the appointed, and anointed mediator. Jesus is the Spokesperson, Jesus who is called the Word of God.”

HOW TO LEAD JEHOVAH WITNESSES TO JESUS: Jehovah Witnesses should be told that Jesus Christ is the Great Jehovah. Then they may accept the true Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. This teaching is found in my book “Jesus The Lord of Glory” the Ultimate Christology & Evangelism Handbook, a sample excerpt reads: “The name Jehovah or Yahweh is a Hebrew word meaning “I am the Lord”.
Evangelism Application: (A) If a Jehovah Witness Cult follower approaches you, and starts to talk about their religion, and ask you if you would like to have a relationship with the Great Jehovah. Your reply should be Jesus Christ is the
Great Jehovah …
Evangelism Application: (B) You approach a person that you know is a Jehovah Witness Cult follower, and during your conversation you tell the person that Jesus Christ said that he was the Great “I AM” which means the Great Jehovah …

DEFENDING THE DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY TRINITY:
Excerpts from the Christology, "Jesus The Lord of Glory".
CHAPTER ONE * JESUS PART OF THE GODHEAD ~ TRINITY
EXCERPT: (Page 1) "The Godhead, which is also called the Holy Trinity consist of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. All three are perfectly united as the Godhead. They all have eternally existed as one Almighty God. The word of God declares in the book of Deuteronomy chapter six, verse four, "Hear O Israel. The Lord our God is one God." And then in verse five, the first commandment is defined as, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and your soul." The term God in the Bible refers to The Holy Trinity or any member, but in some cases is a general name for false gods. Notice the Biblical accounts of creation, the book of Genesis, which is also called the first book of Moses. In chapter one, verse one reads, "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth." The word God, refers to the Godhead, or Holy Trinity. The word for God in Hebrew is Elohim, which is plural ...
Note: There are three Biblical proofs for the Holy Trinity:
1) Matthew 3:13-17 ~ 13: Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14: And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” 15: But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. 16: When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God, (God the Holy Spirit), descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17: And suddenly a voice came from heaven, (God the Father), saying, “This is My beloved Son, (Jesus-God the Son), in whom I am well pleased.”
2) Matthew 28:16-20 ~ 16: Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17: When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20: teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Amen.
3) 1st. John: 6-13 ~ 6:This is He who came by water and blood of Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Holy Spirit who bears witness, because the Holy Spirit is truth. 7: For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 8: And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one. 9: If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. 10: He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11: And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12: He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13: These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of Jesus, the Son of God.
