Update on Terri Schiavo
Here's an update I received on the status of Terri Schiavo's fight for life from Earl Appleby at Times Against Humanity:
Contributing editor Pamela Hennessy of the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation brings us the latest news from Ground Zero in the fight to save Terri:As you may already know, a hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2003, at the courthouse in Clearwater, Florida. This hearing is to be at 10.00am (GMT -5) and, at that time, Judge Greer is expected to schedule a date when Terri Schindler-Schiavo's feeding tube will be removed. When that is done, Terri will die from dehydration and/or starvation. Though the attorney representing Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo, contends that this is a peaceful and painless death, the truth is that Terri will be made to suffer tremendously. Demonstrators are expected to convene that day, prior to the proceedings. If you are in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, you are welcome to join in. It is of the utmost importance that any demonstration be a peaceful one. The courthouse is located at the intersection of Court Street and Fort Harrison Avenue in downtown Clearwater, Florida. If you are able to attend, bring signs. Bring water as it will be warm. Plan on media asking you questions. Try to answer the questions of passersby, if you can. Direct people to www.terrisfight.org if they don't understand the case. There is a public sidewalk directly in front of the courthouse, facing Fort Harrison Avenue. Likewise, there is a public sidewalk directly across the road. Traffic, both auto and foot, is high from the hours of 7.00am until 9.30am. You will be seen and heard. It is not appropriate nor recommended that you assemble on the campus of the court complex itself. Only public encroachment such as sidewalks. Understanding that everyone has obligations andwork, if you can attend, your presence is appreciated.
There is a pending petition to federal courts that will be refiled before the week is out. This petition argues that Terri's civil liberties have been denied by her husband. If the federal judge accepts jurisdiction of the case, Terri's case will move to the federal courts and out of the present venue of the 6th circuit court of Pinellas County.
Additionally, the attorney representing Terri's immediate family has filed a Motion to Disqualify Judge George Greer based on evidence that he has spoken openly about Terri's case to confidantes and media - without litigating attorneys present.
There is no guarantee that Judge Greer will step down, nor that the federal courts will accept jurisdiction of Terri's case. With that in mind, the hearing on September 11 could be the final decision in this young woman's life.

I am trying to find out if this is true: I heard that Michael is with another woman and they have a baby. If this is true, how is he still her guardian, because he hasn't married her yet??? Why won't he marry her, hmm, maybe because he won't get her money after she dies??? I also heard he abused her mentally, always told her she was ugly and fat and she had eating disorders and her body went into shock and that is how it all started.

Go to www.becki-snow.blogspot.com and feast your eyes on the mess that is Michael Schiavo. He DOES had a "lover" and child. Why won't he marry her? Because he won't get the money! If the prospect of money was not an issue, I'll bet anything we would not be hearing from Mr. Schiavo. Mr. Schiavo's lawyer was on the board of directors at the hospital where she is being kept! Mr. Shiavo's lawyer has never represented anyone that did not have money coming to them after death. Mr. Shiavo does not deserve any money, he has not been a husband to her for years, only a leech sucking away her hope and like a vulture waiting for death to sweep in and devour. We cannot allow this to become to norm in our country! We have to stand up for people with no voice, they deserve to be here just like we do.

Afterall, Michael is living with his fiance who he is engaged to and they have two children together. He have already committed adultry for a long period of time. The above report not only indicates that absolutely nothing suspicious was
found as the result of this exhaustive investigation, but also that the
'marks' and 'needle cap' (which turned out to part of an irrigation kit)
were found PRIOR to Terri's parents visiting that day.

Pray as if you were the one in Terri Schiavo's body. her life is in danger of being disregarded just as an unwanted pet is "put out of its misery". We are all held accountable one day before our Lord. He knows our minds and hearts. What will He say to you when you finally stand before Him for judgement? The enemy, (Satan), is doing everything in his power to influence people. Pray for all involved and for yourself. May we never be in Terri Schiavo's situation.

I HAVE READ INFORMATION THAT LEADS ME TO THINK IF THIS HAD JUST HAPPENED TODAY HER HUSBAND WOULD HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO. WHY LEAVE YOUR WIFE FACE DOWN TILL HELP ARRIVED? I am at a loss over what I have just heard on our news the Judge in Florida has said that the decision still stands Terri remains without the nourishment which leaves her to starve to death.... I cannot begin to think how her family feels, I just know how I feel!!!! and it is one of despair, we all differ I know we all have our own views, but what I cannot understand is how he "Husband" would not allow her treatment that would have possibly helped her, but not only that, the Judges they must know of this it is freely readable on the net and I have read that he was offered a Million to let her live, why would he accept that he's not daft when she dies he will get 1.6 million, then of course you have "The Terri Schiavo story" film money making stories..I feel devasted that he is able to kill his wife legally, if she were on a ventilator and they pulled the plug and she couldn't breathe alone she was brain dead, but!!! Terri wasn't on that kind of life support she can breathe without aid, her organs are functioning, there is a light of recognition in her eyes with her family...no I cannot begin to know what her family is going through, and even now they are appealing for her life, but time moves on, Terri has been five days without food or water,, and this is the "Right To Die" way according to her "Husband"..Even the criminals on Death Row get treated better than this... Terri in my opinion is being slowly murdered, Harsh words? maybe but its a slow lingering death, and the longer she is off the nourishment tube, the more danger of her organs being damaged, and I believe that the monies that the husband will probably get should be taken and given to the hospitals for people less fortunate...and he doesn't get a penny, because he certainly didn't spend it on what he was supposed to do and that my friends is Treatment for Terri.... just my thoughts..and here is another maybe they should arrest the Judges,Drs and her Husband who all supported this evil act... and charge them with murder because thats what it is....Cath

It is no more medicine than the oxygen we breathe. Therefore, all people are entitled to nourishment:food and water. It is a fundamental human right. Even when adminisstered or givein in an artificial way(tube or IV), the IV or tube must be compared to the knife, fork or spoon. These utensils are also artificial means we use to nourish ourselves. Food and water are not medicines;therefore, they do not fall under the medicine category. Medicine need not be taken if it is not helping. Therefore, one cannot morally make a judgment that it is useless to nourish a stroke victim because it does nothing to cure the underlying problem. It seems that refusing to give water and nourisihment would be euthanasia.

I think she may be the lucky one, the rest of us must stay on this polluted planet with an even worse morally bankrupt & polluted society.
It's makes me sad to realize that the true wedding vows were not taken seriously to heart by the husband. Terri's mate deserted her during her "worst". I can only pray that this new woman in his life understands that if she get's ill or incapsicated for a time he will most likely toss her aside like yesterdays trash too.
Can we say chemical sterilization to avoid him breeding more like himself?
